Welcome to the Town of Grand View, WI

Grand View is one of the few towns in Wisconsin that truly earned its name. Located directly on the ‘Great Divide’, views from various points within the town are awesome in scope and mesmerizing in beauty. Grand View sits on a series of high bluffs, eskers and ridges. The Great Divide refers to the geographical distinction that causes all waters south of Grand View to flow towards the Mississippi and all waters north to flow towards Lake Superior.

The town was well known for the Grand View Firehouse 50 road bike race, one of the largest and oldest citizen road races in the Midwest. While the bike race is no longer taking place, there is still a Grand View Fire Department Picnic held on the 1st Saturday in August. Festival activities include a large community picnic, 2-mile running race (yes the kids still ride out to the start on the Fire Trucks), a cornhole tournament and music. It serves as the primary fundraiser for the Grand View Fire Department. Bike Riders are still encouraged to ride at their own risk) the  50-mile course that traverses throughout the area served by the Cable Area Chamber of Commerce and wind through the towns of Namakagon, Cable, and Drummond.

The town is also home to the baseball and softball fields utilized by the Drummond Lumber Jacks and Jills and hosts several little league, Babe Ruth and other community games as well.

Grand View offers a very nice, handicap accessible playground and also maintains an excellent ice skating rink in the winter months.

The North County National Scenic Trail also runs through the town of Grand View. This non-motorized hiking trail currently spans from New York State to North Dakota with plans to eventually extend from coast to coast.
